21. - 24. August 2008 in Geisenheim-Johannisberg

1st international JUNIOR ACADEMY 2008

Message of the IAP President

Prof. Dr. med. Martin-Leo Hansmann

Dear Colleagues,

The German Division of the IAP kindly invites European junior pathologists to participate in the “International Junior Academy”.

The aim of this newly established summer school is to teach diagnostic pathology including molecular aspects. In addition, the close relation between diagnostic and scientific work are in the focus of this meeting.

The main topics will be haematopathology, gynaecopathology, pathology of the lung and urinary tract.

The meeting will take place in a lovely vineyard near the Rhine River in a cloister hotel.

The location is easy to reach from the international airport Frankfurt / Main.

Although this meeting is restricted to only 40 participants we wish to contribute to improve international diagnostic standards and the understanding of pathological processes as well as closer cooperation between pathologists from different countries.

I hope to meet many of you,

Martin-Leo Hansmann
President of the German Division of the IAP
