Welcome
The German and British Division welcomes you to the 7th International Junior Academy Summer School, this year being held in Glasgow, Scotland.

As before this annual Summer School is aimed primarily at young pathologists. Selected topics will be discussed in depth by experts and participants are encouraged to fully participate in all the sessions and to meet and have discussions with the experts.

The chosen topics will include dermatopathology, gastrointestinal pathology, haematopathology, pulmonary pathology, soft tissue pathologie and urogenital pathology as well as the application of molecular pathology and immunocytochemistry to tumour diagnosis.

The School also provides the unique opportunity for participants to meet with other young pathologists from many countries and to exchange ideas.

Registration fee € 800,00

Local trainees can avail of SPECIAL DAILY RATE of
€ 60,00 each (August 14 and 16, 2014)
€ 30,00 (August 15, 2014).
This includes coffee breaks and lunch, Certificate of Attendance, UEMS credits and an USB-Stick with the presentations.

The fee doesn’t include participation in the social program and Dinner.

Glasgow Prestwick Airport Glasgow Prestwick Airport is south west of the city and is a 45 minute direct train link from Glasgow City Centre.

Transportation to the Congress Venue
The Beardmore Hotel and Conference Centre offers a courtesy transfer to Glasgow International Airport. This is available on request and subject to availability. Therefore we kindly ask you to send us your arrival and departure day and time, flight number and also your cell-phone number to arrange a pick-up / drop-off service
From Edinburgh airport there’s a direct bus link to Glasgow City Centre which takes one hour each way and runs daily every 30 minutes. The price for a one way ticket amounts to £10,00.

Social Program
We will be collected at the Hotel and travel to Loch Lormond with a cruise on the Loch. After the cruise we continue to Glengoyne Distillery and see the malting, mashing, fermentation, distilling and maturation process. After the tour we enjoy our Dinner at Glengoyne Distillery.
