The next Baltic-German Symposium starts in Tallinn, the city by the sea that has preserved the testimony of its master builders so well, via Narva with its impressive fortress opposite Ivanograd on the Russian side, to Tartu.

Founded in 1632 under the Swedish King Gustav Adolf, the Academia Gustaviana is now known as the University of Tartu and is one of the 400 most renowned universities in the world. The fountain with the sculpture of two kissing students is one of the  city’s main landmarks and has become a symbol of Tartu as a student city.

Besides the lectures the Baltic German Symposia offer the opportunity to discover the country, meet Baltic colleagues  and mantain existing friendships.
