The German Division of the International Academy of Pathology in collaboration with the Italian, British and French Divisions, warmly welcomes you to the 16th International Junior Academy – Summer School, taking place July 16th-18th 2026 in beautiful Padua, Italy.
This annual Summer School is designed primarily for young pathologists from around the world, as well as specialists returning to the field. Leading experts will explore selected topics in depth, and we encourage you to take an active role in all sessions, discussions, and interactions.
We especially invite you to bring and present your own interesting cases related to the course topics—these case-based discussions are a highlight of the program and enrich the learning experience for everyone!
Beyond the scientific sessions, the Summer School offers a unique opportunity to meet fellow young pathologists from many countries, to exchange ideas, and to build lasting professional connections.

Please note: Trainees will be given priority in the allocation of places.
Above shown fees include 2 nights accommodation in single room incl. breakfast at “Hilton Garden Inn” from July 16 – 18, 2026, admission to the lectures, Certificate of attendance, breaks, lunch, dinner and participation in social program as indicated in the program.
Payment must be made in EUR. All charges for bank transfer are to be paid by the participant. An invoice will be sent to you after registration. Please transfer the amount quoting the invoice number.

For registration with accommodation, the office of the German Division of IAP will reserve you a single room at the Hilton Garden Inn Padova City Centre for 2 nights from July 16 (Arrival) to July 18, 2026 (Departure) and will settle the costs for accommodation directly with the hotel.
For additional nights, please contact the hotel and make reservations at your own expense and indicate that you are participating in the event to make sure that you keep the same room throughout your stay.

BURSARIES
The German Division of the IAP and the Vladimir Totović – Foundation provides bursaries to support residents and trainees in pathology from underserved countries. This includes a free registration, 2 nights’ accommodation at Hilton Garden Inn Padova City Centre (July 16 – 18, 2026) and travel grants.
Please upload the documents required for the Bursary Application while registering in the course. To apply for bursaries the following items are necessary.
- Submission of a CV and a supporting letter
- A mandatory case presentation
- Submission of an abstract of the case to be presented
- Proof of trainee status
- Presentation of the final report not later than 1 month after the meeting
Only complete application could be considered.
The deadline for applying for a scholarship is March 1st, 2026. Applications received after this date cannot be considered.
A decision will be made by the Board of Trustees of the Vladimir Totovic Foundation by April 12, 2026 and the applicants will be informed thereafter.
CME ACCREDITATION
An application has been made to the European Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (EACCME) for CME credits for this event.
CANCELLATION
Cancellation is accepted until June 12, 2026, minus a service charge of € 40. No refund will be given after these dates.
