it is my pleasure to welcome you all as participants of the 25th “Silver” German-Baltic Pathology Symposion in Pärnu / Estonia. This meeting has developed towards an event which is indispensable for the development of a strong and fruitful relation between pathologists from West and East. In these turbulent times scientific collaboration and friendship are the most powerful weapons against anti-European trends which seem to grow in numerous European countries. So let’s meet in Estonia to continue our vital and inspiring relationship by exchanging newest scientific findings and by sharing common ideas about future developments in pathology.

The Baltic-German Symposium for Pathology is a fantastic model how bilateral efforts bring friends together and simultaneously increases knowledge.

Dear Colleagues and Friends,

In the name of the Vladimir Totović – Foundation I send a warm welcome to all Baltic, German and International participants of the 25^th German-Baltic Pathology Symposion in Pärnu / Estonia. It has been a pleasure to follow the growth of this symposion over the last years and watch a vivid new generation of pathologists shaping the future of our diagnostic abilities. Therefore, the Foundation has decided to encourage all pathologists presenting an abstract and sponsor a prize for the three best presentations.  These prizes are of course open to all international attendees and we do hope to welcome as many participants as possible from the Baltic States, from Germany but also from many other countries as we had last time in Riga.
